Kilcatten Lodge features a stunning garden that enhances the overall ambiance, with well-maintained landscapes and access to a lovely common area. The breakfast offered is diverse and satisfying, with homemade options that cater to various tastes. My accommodations were clean and spacious, providing a comfortable work environment. The hosts, Noreen and Joe, ensured a welcoming atmosphere and shared insightful local recommendations.
The remote location requires careful planning for dining options.

absoluteley stunning grounds, but it certainly didn’t make up for the lack of wi-fi and a coffee machine in my room. i thought i’d at least receive a complimentary gesture for those inconveniences. also, the breakfast choice was painfully limited. almost considered leaving a good review, then just couldn’t.

Cozy and spacious accommodations with beautiful rural scenery.
Unfortunately, we faced several challenges during our stay. The nearest village was completely closed on Monday when we arrived, which left us scrambling for food options. We had to drive to Clonakilty for lunch as the only dining spots nearby were limited. Additionally, the request to pre-order breakfast at a set time felt restrictive after a long day of travel.

Couples, you’ll love it!
Noreen and Joe are very nice hosts, cute us like family from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was fantastic, especially that homemade granola, and the coffee was always available for late-night chats in the cozy kitchen.
It wasn’t cheap, but worth every penny in the end.
